Grade and Tonnage Data for British Columbia Mineral Deposit Models

چکیده

The Mineral Potential Project currently being undertaken in British Columbia requires estimation d unknown mineral resources. The method of resource assessment known as the BC Mineral Resource Assessment Process [19931. is described by Kilby (1995, this volume) and in Grunsky et al. (1.994). The method is based on the three-part ssessment methodology developed by the United States Geological S w e y KISGS) as documented in Singer (1975). Singer and Ovenshine (1979). Drew ef al. (1986). Root ef al. (1992) and S i g e r (1993). An essential mmponent of predicfive resource estimation is the creation of mineral deposit models and associated grade and tonnage data. In this

Mineral Resource Estimation: an Evaluation of Responses’ from Northeast British Columbia

The Mineral Potential Project is an initiative that provides predictions of resource abundance in the province and has been described by Kilby (1995). Ian this project, resource assessment is carried out on specified tracts of land, referred to as mineral assessment tracts. These tracts are generalizations of contiguous geological tracts that share a common tectonic history and metallogeny and ...

Fuzzy tonnage-average grade model based on extension principle

Due to the nature of the geological and mining activities, different input parameters in the grade estimation and mineral resource evaluation are always tainted with uncertainties. It is possible to investigate the uncertainties related to the measurements and parameters of the variogram model using the fuzzy kriging method instead of the kriging method. The fuzzy kriging theory has already bee...

A mineral deposit modelling and assessment expert system

This paper presents the design and implementat.ion of a knowledge-based system, Queensland Mineral Deposit Expert (QMDE). The primary goal of this system is to assist in the modelling and economic assessment of potential mineral deposits in Queensland. The system produces ,an assessment of a mineral occurrence’s affinity to standard deposits for which economic characteristics such as grade, cur...

mining companies to determine a resource model of the tonnage and head grade of a potential orebody, which is one of the first and most critical inputs underpinning any mining project. The prediction of the grade, tonnage, and recoverable metal for a particular mining plan and the corresponding financial forecast constitute the main technical risks in mineral resource evaluation. The convention...
